The streets of Chester will turn green as hundreds of people take part in a glowing night walk to help local people with cancer.

Clatterbridge Cancer Charity’s Glow Green Night Walk is making its debut in the city after five successful years of the event in Liverpool.

Glow Green Night Walk is a great way to get together with friends and family, enjoy a fun 7k route and raise much needed funds to help cancer patients. Walkers really enter into the spirit of the night with neon green clothes and accessories. There is music and other entertainment at the start and on the route.

City landmarks also get in on the act with landmarks like the Eastgate Clock, the Old Palace and the Suspension Bridge turning green for the occasion.

Walkers will pause for reflection at the Roman Gardens where a poignant lantern display will take place to honour those lost to the disease, patients being treated and the staff caring for them.

The event takes place in February 2026 to mark World Cancer Day, which falls earlier in the month on 4^th February.
