Nugent named official charity partner of Liverpool International Tennis Tournament 2026

Liverpool-based charity Nugent has been announced as the new official charity partner of the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament ahead of this summer’s event at Liverpool Cricket & Sports Club.

The tournament returns from 18 to 20 June 2026, bringing top-level grass court tennis to Liverpool just days before Wimbledon. The event attracts established professionals, rising talent, businesses and hundreds of fans to Aigburth each summer for one of the city’s standout sporting events.

Founded in 1881, Nugent have over 145 years of experience operating care, education, and community services. As a leading voice in the care sector, they look to improve health, life chances, quality of life, and levels of achievement, whilst reducing poverty and increasing safety for all.

The charity offers support to anyone who needs it through it social impact programme, Our Future Now. The announcement comes as Nugent continues to expand its reach beyond the Liverpool City Region into the wider North West.

Jo Henney, Chief Executive at Nugent, said: “We are proud to be the official charity partner of the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament 2026. This partnership is a fantastic opportunity to connect with new audiences, raise awareness of our work and celebrate the power of community through sport.”

As part of its involvement, the charity will host fundraising and engagement activities during the tournament, including on-site games and raffles.

Nugent also hopes to use the tournament to strengthen relationships with businesses and organisations across the region, encouraging support through fundraising, volunteering, in-kind donations and joint campaigns.

Jo added: “At Nugent, we believe in creating opportunities, building stronger communities and standing alongside those who need us most. We are looking forward to working together to make a meaningful impact both on and off the court.”

Tournament Director Anders Borg said:

We’re proud to work together this summer and help raise awareness of the incredible work they do across the region.”

Nugent now joins a growing group of organisations supporting Liverpool Tennis, alongside partners including Napthens, DSG, Qube Residential, Deliver Media and Soloco Creative.

The Liverpool International Tennis Tournament will take place from 18 to 20 June 2026 at Liverpool Cricket & Sports Club.
