A huge bank holiday family fun day is coming to Bowring Park this weekend
1 hour ago
Bowring Park is set to host its biggest Bank Holiday event to date on Monday 25 May, kicking off a full week of family friendly half-term activities across the park.
The Bank Holiday Fun Day, running from 11am to 3pm, will feature a packed programme of live entertainment, family activities and local traders, building on the success of previous events which have seen growing numbers of visitors from across Knowsley choosing to spend time locally.
The day will include the return of the hugely popular K-pop performances alongside a Frozen-themed experience for children, as well as a DJ and live singers throughout the afternoon.
Families can also expect a wide range of activity across the park, including stalls, games, a BBQ and entertainment designed to create a full day out rather than a short visit.
A range of independent traders will be on site offering cakes, bakes and sweet treats, alongside other local businesses, while dog-friendly activities will also form part of the programme.

Oisin Hennessy, Project Lead at oneday, said:
“We’ve seen a big shift in how people are using the park over the last year, and each event is getting busier.
“This Bank Holiday is about taking that up another level – more going on, more to do, and more reasons for families to get out and spend the day here.”
A full week of activity to follow
The Bank Holiday event marks the start of a week-long half-term programme at Bowring Park, with activities taking place throughout the week for families and young people.
These include football sessions for children, forest school experiences, family cooking workshops and a cocktail masterclass later in the week, alongside further events and activities across the site.
The programme has been designed to provide a mix of free and low-cost activities, with a focus on getting more people outdoors and making the most of the park during the school holidays.
