Dinosaurs are taking over Knowsley Safari this weekend
2 hours ago
Get ready for a prehistoric adventure as dinosaurs stomp their way into Knowsley Safari this weekend.
On Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June, Knowsley Safari will be transformed into a Jurassic playground, with lifelike dinosaurs roaming the Foot Safari and all the extra entertainment included in the regular admission price.
Visitors can come face to face with a giant Velociraptor, meet the UK’s largest Ankylosaurus and enjoy plenty of photo opportunities with the prehistoric stars. Younger dinosaur fans can also head to the Hatchery tipi, where they can meet adorable baby dinosaurs.

For those who fancy themselves as future dinosaur experts, the interactive Ranger Academy will give guests the chance to learn the skills needed to become an official dinosaur ranger and discover how to safely handle the creatures.
The special Dinosaur Takeover event comes alongside everything else Knowsley Safari has to offer, including its famous five mile Safari Drive, the longest in the UK.
Guests can spot a huge range of animals along the route, including rhinos, zebras, ostriches, forest buffalo and the attraction’s famously mischievous baboons.
Helena Berry, Head of Marketing and Sales at Knowsley Safari, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to be hosting a Dinosaur Takeover this weekend. As well as giving families the chance to step into a prehistoric world, guests can also enjoy the huge array of animals the Safari has to offer and at a great value price.

“Whether you’re meeting a mischievous raptor, snapping a selfie with a giant dinosaur, or watching your little ones become fully fledged rangers, it’s set to be a truly unforgettable, wildly fun day out.”
Families can also benefit from additional savings through the Government’s Great British Summer Savings scheme, making the event an even more affordable day out.
The Dinosaur Takeover takes place at Knowsley Safari on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 June.
