Check out the free, family friendly Fight Expo happening at Camp & Furnace

More than 50 local professional fighters will come together at Camp & Furnace to raise funds for local charities, plus there’s a world record attempt and Marvel special guests for the kids.
On Sunday 18th August 2019, Camp & Furnace will play host to Liverpool’s first and only Fight Expo. Hosted by Greatest Hits Radio DJ, Simon ‘Rossie’ Ross, the event has been organised by former Boxer Daniel Lewis as a way to support 4 local charities.
More than 50 local, professional fighters have pledged their support. Olympic and Commonwealth medallists, former and current world champions and special guests from the boxing and MMA scene will be meetings fans, sharing their stories, tips and advice.
There will be meet and greats, photos, signing and talks from the likes of Callum Smith, Robbie Davies Jr, Paul Butler, Natasha Jonas, Anthony Fowler, Paddy Pimblett, Paul Sass, Paul Kelly and more.
The event which runs from 9am until 10pm, has been organised by former boxer turned award-winning writer and actor, Daniel P. Lewis, he said: “If there’s one thing you can guarantee about the boxing community, it the feeling of family. Everyone looks out for and supports each other.
“It was only 12 weeks ago I decided to run the event and support has just flooded in. From the boxers and MMA fighters to tech support and entertainment, everyone is donating their time for free.”
“It’s no secret that I lost my way after being told I may never walk again. I knew that when I needed help it was the boxing community that I would turn to. We’re coming together to help local causes now and if we make just one person smile, we’ll have succeeded.”

On the day, Daniel will be attempting to break a world record. To mark his first time back in the ring since being told he may never walk again, Daniel will attempt to reach 150 rounds of continuous sparring with local fighters and celebs, a total of 10 hrs in the ring to successfully achieve the accolade. Get down there and cheer him on!
More than 20 exhibitors will be in attendance at Camp & Furnace along with demonstrations from a selection of local gyms. As well as the huge sport offering, there is also lots of family fun entertainment planned throughout the day. Face-painting, selfie mirror, gaming truck, a Marvel car experience and a visit from a number of very special superheroes will bring a flurry of pics and selfies (and that’s just from the adults).
Live performances from X Factors Anthony Russell, Livvy K and Tosin Trio plus auctions live podcast interviews with Fight Disciples’ Nick Peet, plus auctions and raffles will make for a a fun-filled fundraising day.
