Lightning Seeds were formed in Liverpool in 1989 by frontman Ian Broudie and are responsible for some of the most well-known tracks of the 1990s including Life of Riley, Lucky You and Pure. Football favourite Three Lions, a collaboration with comedians Baddiel and Skinner, became an instant anthem on its release and united the nation behind Englandâs Euro â96 effort. The song has topped the charts three times since its original release in 1996.
The Christians are known for having the highest selling debut album of any artist at Island Records and produced international chart hits in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their biggest hits include Forgotten Town, When the Fingers Point, Ideal World, and Harvest For The World.
