The perfect ‘Date Night’ for singles is coming to Liverpool for Valentine’s Weekend

Are you looking for love this Valentine’s Day?

Are you fed up of being asked how your day is by the stranger on Tinder that you’re never going to meet?

Are you sick of seeing Jenny from school put status after status saying ‘Date Night with Bae’, whilst you sit alone thinking, “Jenny? But she used to eat tin foil and keep moths as pets in Year 9!” Well, your luck is about to change.

On Friday 16th February, Valentines Day weekend, whilst all the couples are out for a meal, leave the online dating alone for the night and get yourself down to Liverpool’s biggest Valentine’s Day singles night at E.B.G.B.S (underneath Heebies on Seel St).

A night filled to the brim with entertainment, live music all night, speed dating, interactive performers, blind dates, take me out, immersive experiences, dance offs, drinking games, terrible tinder stories, salsa classes and much more! Find your soul mate and go on a secret date, blindfolded, to see if you make a genuine connection with a person you’ve never seen!

After the success of previous immersive events, ‘Prohibit’, ‘Homecoming’ and ‘Le Cirque Magnifique’, the Liverpool Arts Society are back and this time in a completely different way. Their latest creation won’t take you to a specific time, nor a place you’ll know of but what they’re describing as a ‘Love Limbo’, a place between single life and a relationship.

‘Date Night’ will offer an opportunity for single people to find love! By using immersive techniques they have in the past and throwing one big party you will find yourself in situations where you could potentially meet the love you your life… Or just a Valentine’s fling, that of course is up to you.

Within their event, they’re creating situations and opportunities that break down the barriers that come with meeting someone for the first time.

Alex Medlicott, artistic director of the Liverpool Arts Society said; “Once again we are trying to push the boundaries of entertainment and aiming to create events that are completely innovative. We like to challenge ourselves artistically and this event is completely different to anything we have done in the past. We’re not working from a script or rehearsing for a show in the way we have in the past. We’re dealing with real people and real stories and we’re hoping that by creating characters and orchestrating intimate situations we can evoke emotion or at least light the spark. There is nothing like a good night out to help you meet new people, hopefully we can create an exciting yet safe place in which people can look for love.”

The event takes place on Friday 16th February and the doors open at 8pm. Tickets are £5 and you can get them via the link below.

P.S. Tin Foil Jenny, you’re not invited.
