Christmas
Join us at rehearsals for the Scouse Nativity at Liverpool’s Royal Court
7 years ago
It’s nearly time for the Royal Court Christmas show and this time the gang are taking on THE GREATEST STORY EVER TOLD!
The actors are in rehearsals, the band are practicing furiously and the script is (nearly) finished. The box office phones are buzzing so it looks like a case of book now or miss out!
The cast has been confirmed and is full of familiar faces. Paul Duckworth, Michael Fletcher, Stephen Fletcher, Lindzi Germain, Hayley Hampson, Drew Schofield and Keddy Sutton all return to The Court for festive fun and frolics.
After the success of Scouse Of The Rising Sun Kevin Fearon returns as writer with additional material coming from renowned Director Cal McCrystal. The Musical Director isHoward Gray and the spectacular set is being Designed by Mark Walters.
It’s Bethlehem, 0 AD (or 0 BC, I’m not too clued up on these things). Terry, a lonely shepherd looks out over the land and sees that all is good. Apart from that bloody great star. He should probably take a look at that.Â
Terry tells the real tale of what happened at that fateful time. Will Mary get together with Joseph? Will King Herod steal the baby (and the show)? Will Angela Gabrielle get her wings?Â
So many questions and only one place with all of the answers, so get the flock down to The Court – Christmas begins right here!
Royal Court Liverpool have also recently expanded somewhat and taken over the old Penny Farthing Pub next door. Watch the video below as we take you inside The Courtyard. More here.Â
Book your pre-show dinner at The Courtyard and then head inside the theatre for Scouse Nativity. Kevin Fearon, Executive Producer at Liverpool’s Royal Court and writer of the show: “The Royal Court Christmas show has got a great reputation for being, funny, silly and packed with good music. We have got a brilliant cast and crew working on this show with Cal and all of the cast chipping in with jokes so we’re hoping that everyone enjoys it. It is on course to be our best selling show of all time so we are determined to make it a good one!”
