After the initial delight of finding out you are going to have a baby, what can then be more exciting than finding out whether you are having a boy or a girl, one of the happiest moments of your life.
Usually, couples would be celebrating with friends and family, but as current restrictions prevent this, Leanne & Scott decided they wanted to create something truly memorable. Radio City teamed up with Joie Baby to create a truly unforgettable experience for one local couple.Â
Following an on-air competition launched by Leanne & Scott on the Breakfast Show, and after much deliberation over the entries, one lucky couple, Nicola & John from St Helens, were chosen to have the UKâs biggest gender reveal just for them.Â
The question on everyoneâs lips on the night wasâŚwill the Radio City tower will be lit pink or blue as the couple who won the competition finally found out if they were expecting a boy or a girl.

Leanne & Scott, Breakfast Show Presenters, Radio City said:
“When we heard they had turned the Burj Khalifa blue for a reveal in Dubai, we wanted to do the same for one family from our area. We had the lighting upgraded in the Radio City Tower, had a play around with them and we were ready to launch the UKâs biggest and best gender reveal. We think the whole of the North West were as made up as we were for Nicola & John when the Tower lights went live. In a time where life is more challenging than ever, weâre delighted to have been able to bring that little piece of joy to a deserving family.”
As well as having one of Liverpoolâs most iconic buildings lit for just for them, the family also received a fantastic baby bundle from Joie Baby â a Versatrax pushchair, Ramble XL Carrycot and i-Snug infant carrier.
David Welsh, Managing Director at Joie added; âOur team have been incredibly excited to be working with Radio City to bring the UKâs biggest gender reveal to Liverpool. In these strange times, we were delighted to bring a bit of extra joy to our lucky winners.â
