16 amazing Christmas food specials in Liverpool restaurants
4 years ago
One of the best things about Christmas has got to be the food and Liverpool’s restaurants have more festive treats for you to enjoy than ever this year.
And, even though we’re big fans of roasties and the whole turkey/nut roast spread, there’s more to Christmas eating than just the traditional dinner.
Liverpool’s restaurants go all-out to do something different with a festive twist so here are 16 amazing Christmas specials you can get right now …
Bold Street Coffee
Are you on Santa’s naughty or nice list? It could help you decide which BSC buoy to pick because there’s a Naughty Buoy – brioche bun, cream cheese, roast beef, peppers and onions, egg and cheese – or a Nice Buoy with brioche bun, bacon, blueberry pancake, maple syrup, egg, cheese and hash brown.
Chamber 36
It’s turkey but not as you know it … Chamber 36 on Berry Street has got a couple of Christmas specials so you can either go for the turkey croquettes or maybe the salt & pepper tempura sprouts will convert you forever to the controversial little green guys.
Hafla Hafla
Hafla Hafla on Lark Lane has created its own gooey gorgeous version of the Christmas dinner classic pigs in blankets – there’s no law to say it’s got to be piggies, so why not try Hafla’s halloumi in blankets instead? Tis the season after all.
Ropes & Twines
Fancy a change from turkey but still want something a bit meaty? Ropes & Twines on Bold Street have got just the thing: their festive sandwich is packed with gammon, brie and a nice thick spread of their homemade fig jam.
The Butterfly & The Grasshopper
Everything about this place on Renshaw Street is so pretty and that includes the food – just look at these little beauties which are on the new winter menu: honey glazed pigs in blankets with hot mustard and sweet pickles.

Birdies Bar & BBQ

Maluco
Even at Christmas there’s still time for pizza so Maluco on Castle Street has created one just for the occasion. The 18-in festive special is topped with turkey, pigs in blankets, mozzarella, cranberry sauce, oregano on a tomato base and it’s definitely big enough to share.

Grab a table inside or outside in the garden and get one of FSK’s whopping Christmas burgers – a turkey and sage patty topped with smoky bacon, brie, homemade cranberry sauce and a pig in blanket – served with a side of thick American style gravy for dipping.
La Finca Eivissa
Have a wander up onto Back Colquitt Street, and you’ll find this place is serving up a tasty festive treat – turkey, camembert & cranberry croquettes, that’s a crispy little bit of Christmas food heaven right there and they’ve got mulled sangria to wash them down.
