A cracking day out for the whole family and Knowsley Safari this Easter

Even better, visitors will get to learn all about the importance of the Safari’s animals’ coats and markings at the same time.

Knowsley Safari is hosting a Spots & Stripes Safari Egg Hunt this Easter – with special sweet treats up for grabs for those who complete the quest.

From Saturday 1st April until Sunday 16th April, six giant easter eggs will be hidden around the Foot Safari at the leading Merseyside tourist attraction.

During the two-week ‘egg-stravaganza’, egg hunters will receive a map and stickers upon arrival – all included with the admission price – to guide them in their search.

Each of the six giant eggs will be spots or striped themed and, by the end of the trail, participants will be ‘eggs-pert’ in Knowsley Safari’s animals’ coats – finding out interesting and fun facts such as why tigers have black stripes, and giraffe have distinctive brown spots – and why they’re unique to each species.

Those who match all six stickers to the animals will be rewarded with a special chocolate surprise.

This special seasonal activity is yet another addition to what is always a jam-packed day of fun at the UK’s longest Safari Drive and Foot Safari, where visitors will be able to seek out the eggs – whilst walking the Amur Tiger Trail, as well as seeing the meerkats and giraffe and the Foot Safari’s many other animals.

Knowsley Safari’s Rachel Scott said:

“An egg hunt is an all-time favourite way to make memories with friends and family over the Easter holidays, and we’re really looking forward to welcoming visitors.

“Located throughout our Foot Safari – with its animal trails, touch tables and interactive learning sessions, not to mention rides and amusements – this is sure to be an egg hunt like no other.

“As well as enjoying all the fun of the search and chocolate prize at the end, our egg hunters will get to learn all about wildlife, conservation, and the evolutionary markings of many of the animals we have here at Knowsley Safari. Like how giraffes’ spots help to cool them down and how tigers’ stripey coats help to camouflage them. It really will be lots of fascinating family fun.”

Knowsley Safari’s Spots & Stripes Safari Egg Hunt is taking place from Saturday 1st April until Sunday 16th April 2023. Tickets can be booked in advance online. Adult tickets start from £22.50 and children’s start from £19.50. Under threes go free.
