Peter James’ latest blockbuster stage adaptation Picture You Dead brings Superintendent Roy Grace from Brighton to New Brighton and from books and television to the stage as it hits the Floral Pavilion next month.
This world premiere tour is the latest theatre version the bestselling Peter James novels, adaptations of which are also currently being broadcast on ITV in the fifth season of the ongoing smash-hit GRACE.
The stage version starring Casualty’s George Rainsford as DSI Roy Grace is an adaptation of the novel Picture You Dead currently touring and which has opened to rave reviews from critics and audiences alike.
Once again DSI Roy Grace leads the action and is on the path of a ruthless and calculating killer.
The story sees DSI Grace investigating a cold case involving a couple who come across a potentially priceless masterpiece at a car boot sale.
But this discovery leads them into the dangerous underworld revolving around art forgeries and deception.

Never simple, Grace’s investigation then becomes entangled with a separate cold case and as events begin to collide the couple’s dream discovery becomes a terrifying nightmare.
And only Grace can stop them from paying the ultimate price.
Starring Strictly Come Dancing winner, presenter and stage actor Ore Oduba (Pretty Woman), Fiona Wade, who starred this year in 2:22 A Ghost Story, following 12 years in Emmerdale, and with Casualty’s George Rainsford (Call the Midwife, 2:22 A Ghost Story) returning as DSI Roy Grace.
With a total of 20 Sunday Times bestsellers to his name which have sold over 23 million copies worldwide and been translated into 38 languages and the television series GRACE now a huge hit on ITV, Picture You Dead, the seventh and brand-new thrilling stage adaptation, cements Peter James’ Grace series as the most successful modern-day crime stage franchise since Agatha Christie.
