Adventure Coast Southport welcomes government investment in the local area

Adventure Coast Southport, one of the North West’s leading family attractions and a long-standing advocate for the town’s revitalisation, has welcomed the announcement of substantial Government investment in Southport’s coastal infrastructure.

The funding, secured with the support of Sefton Council and the Liverpool City Region, will enable the refurbishment of two of Southport’s most significant cultural and heritage assets: Southport Pier and The Atkinson. This announcement represents a strong vote of confidence in the town’s strategic vision and its potential for long-term regeneration.

This investment marks the beginning of a transformative new chapter for Southport. Central to the regeneration plans are the restoration of the historic pier and the reimagining of the Town Hall Gardens — initiatives expected to deliver enduring benefits for residents, businesses, and the local visitor economy.
