Africa Oyé needs YOU to help them with the 2020 festival
4 years ago

Each year, an enormous amount of effort goes into ensuring that the Africa Oyé festival takes place and remains free entry and open to all.
Due to the ever-growing popularity of the event, this is becoming increasingly challenging.
That is where you come in!
The support of volunteers is a crucial part of the festival – the opportunity to meet the Africa Oyé audience only comes around once a year. You will be working with Africa Oyé focusing on ensuring the survival and growth of the festival by creating positive relations with attendees and raising funds to sustain future festivals.
This year Oyé falls on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st of June. Africa Oyé are looking for support on both days between 12pm and 9pm and are asking for a minimum of 2 hours of your time, or more if you would like.
The two days are a fantastic celebration of the music and culture of Africa and the Diaspora and volunteering will give you an opportunity to be part of the festivities, to meet a variety of people and help keep the event free for future generations.
Africa Oyé are looking for enthusiastic, friendly and helpful people. An interest in culture, music and some knowledge of the festival would be an advantage but is not essential.
You will need to make your own way to and from the festival site but there are plenty of public transport options and it is a beautiful cycling/walking location.
