Alder Hey Children’s Charity mascot Oli the Elephant has packed his bags and is off to Knowsley Safari Park for his annual charity walk.
Oli’s Safari Walk has become a wildly popular event charity event with over 1,500 people taking part in 2017. Not only is it a fabulous family day out, registration and sponsorships help make a remarkable difference to young patients at Alder Hey.
Oli is looking for people to join him on his next walk which takes place on Sunday 13th May 2018. It entails a 3km walk around Knowsley Safari Park followed by access to the Safari Park. A family pass (two adults, two children) costs £20, adults cost £10 and children (0-16 years) cost £5.
Money raised from the event will go to Alder Hey Children’s Charity to help vital funds for vital research into childhood diseases and safety of medicine for the children and young people being treated at Alder Hey.
Helen Hughes from Alder Hey Children’s Charity said: “We are incredibly grateful to have the support of Knowsley Safari Park for helping us put on this event which goes from strength to strength every year. It is the perfect walk for everyone to get involved with as it’s pram and wheelchair friendly, taking you through woods you wouldn’t normally get to see and of course you get full access to the park afterwards. Amazing value and you’re giving brilliant support for Alder Hey. We can’t wait to see you all there.”
