Carrying around 1700 passengers and 900 crew, the ship, one of a fleet of four Disney cruise ships, arrived early in the morning on her fourth visit to the city, and our cameras captured it all. In true Scouse tradition, Cruise Liverpool organised a warm welcome and huge sail away party for everyone to enjoy and you came ready to celebrate!
From princesses to superheroes and everything in between, Princes Parade was a sea of colourful gowns, tiaras and super suits as Disney fans of all ages danced, sang and waved their way through the evening entertainment. Our Simmo – possibly the biggest Disney fan in Merseyside, introduced music from the Liverpool Ukulele Band and the Liverpool Shanty Kings plus special performances from Alice in Wonderland and Tinkerbelle too!
Magic on the Mersey
Young guests were invited to walk the red carpet and meet and greet the princesses, as colourful Dodo’s strutted their way around Princes Parade with some very cheeky funnels! Families were able to dine on Princes Dock too as the pop up street food market offered pizzas, chips and more, keeping everyone warm and full of energy for the big send off.
With flashmobs and fabulous dance performances from ABDC and a fancy dress competition, all eyes were on the quayside for the final wave off and thrilling fireworks.

A huge congratulations to everyone at Cruise Liverpool for putting on another fantastic, free after school event. Until next time, happy sailing!
