Verdant on Allerton Road is undergoing a transformation and will reopen as a new bar and bistro.
Allerton Road restaurant Verdant is under new management and will change to Bloom Bar & Bistro.
Verdant will close its doors close of play on Sunday 22nd September whilst it undergoes building work.
The venue has been taken over by new management with mother and daughter duo Vicky and Charlotte McGregor purchasing the restaurant back in May 2019.
The pair have continued to run it as Verdant, welcoming many baby showers, private events and dining guests, whilst they plan their renovation behind the scenes.
The restaurant will reopen on Friday 27th September after undergoing a fabulous facelift as the new beautiful Bloom Bar & Bistro.
Bloom will be a lighter, brighter space for guests dining, and in keeping with the venue’s floral ceiling fixture, additional floral photo opportunities will be created.

The bar and bistro will open with a new menu incorporating brunch and a delicious lunch offering.
There will also be a refreshed evening menu that still include some staples that were much-loved by Verdant regulars such as steak and chips and the signature burger, however, new small and large plates will be added to reflect Bloom’s updated menu that will offer something for everyone including lighter, healthier dishes.
General Manager and co-owner Charlotte McGregor said: “Taking over Verdant has been incredible so far but we really want to put our own stamp on the venue.

“We’re known for hosting the best baby showers and our delicious food and drinks and that won’t change. We will however, be giving the venue a refreshing makeover, making it lighter, brighter and even more welcoming. We’ll also be adding some more floral touches in keeping with our popular ceiling fixture!
“The menu will also change – we’re keeping classic staples such as our Sunday roast and popular steak dish, but we’ll be adding in some lunchtime options for those who want a casual lunch. There will be a mix of small plates and larger dishes to suit all occasions.
“We can’t wait to reopen as Bloom and welcome our existing and new customers.”
