Almost Famous’ brand new terrace is the perfect summer hangout
16 seconds ago

The home of some of Liverpool’s juiciest, most outrageous burgers has opened up its Wonder-Terrace rooftop space for a typically Almost Famous summer experience.
That means everyone’s go-to classics – the super-stacked burgers, loaded fries, cocktails and signature slushes – can be had outdoors.
Right in the thick of the city centre action on Parr Street, Almost Famous is almost as famous for its atmosphere as it is for its massively messy more-than-a-handful burgers.
Now that’s moved up on the roof too, so you’re getting away from street level but still with plenty of the chaotic vibe that’s made it such a Liverpool favourite.
The Wonder-Terrace is open every day of the week, from 12 midday for a nice early start through golden hour to 9pm, and if the sun’s out it’s on there the whole time so there’s no better place to catch it.
It’s a brilliant rooftop hangout to get together with mates just for drinks, maybe add a few sides to share, and it’s got a capacity of 150 so there’s loads of room.
Almost Famous was saved from closure in February this year when it was taken over by D2, which also owns PINS Social Club on Duke Street and The Dog and Collar pub on Hope Street.

Tom Sumner at D2 says the huge popularity of PINS’ rooftop meant they didn’t think twice about opening another one:
“It’s something that had been on the to-do list for quite a while and when the opportunity arose for us to take the rooftop of the building next door we jumped at it so now Liverpool Famous has got some awesome outdoor space.
“You can sit up above Parr Street and Slater Street, it’s so good for people watching and oddly for Almost Famous it almost feels like a little bit of tranquility up above the chaos.”
What was previously a completely empty rooftop now has an entrance from upstairs at Almost Famous and it’s been totally transformed with a woodchip floor, festoon lighting, tables, bench seating and awnings.
The Wonder-Terrace has its own bar, serving beers, classic house cocktails like margs and pornstars, and weekly-changing Wonder Slushes. There’s also an option to choose from the whole menu either by popping downstairs or ordering via a QR code.
When it comes to food you can go straight for a Famous burger – don’t skimp on the bacon bacon mayo – or pile up the table with buttermilk fried chicken blasts, mac and cheese balls, wonderdusted tater tots and loaded fries to keep you going.
The Wonder-Terrace is a limited time special, so it’ll be open until around the end of September.
Tom adds:
“There’s not a huge amount of roof terraces or big beer garden spaces in Liverpool city centre so this does feel like an escape a few storeys up from the street.
“Ultimately it’s another way for people to experience Almost Famous in the summer and take that atmosphere everyone loves out into the sunshine.”
