An award-winning restaurant is relocating to Liverpool this April.
8 restaurant is brought to us by Three AA Rosette-holder Andy Sheridan, who is looking forward to his homecoming.
Sheridan will be leaving Birmingham’s city centre to relaunch in Liverpool, at a site near to the famous Cavern Club. He will be transferring his three AA Rosettes to the new site.
Restaurant 8 is one of the UK’s most progressive dining experiences. Led by Liverpool-born chef Andrew Sheridan of Great British Menu fame and his team, it’s all hosted in the heart of the 8 kitchen.
Having achieved three AA-Rosettes, 8 is also listed in The Michelin Guide, and was named by The Times as one of its top 10 worldwide dining experiences. Michelin remarked that 8 is one of the most unique countertop experiences.Â
8 is not for the faint-hearted, so expect the unexpected.
Sheridan said:
“We’re expanding considerably in 2023, most notably with my return to Liverpool. Birmingham has been good to me, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being part of a great food movement in the Second City. That’s where Sam [Sheridan’s business partner], I, and the team created 8 – and where we’ve built a reputation.
“But Liverpool is my home and when the opportunity arose, we really couldn’t say no. Planning is advanced and we’ll look forward to publishing the opening date in the near future.”
The restaurant will take up residence at 16 Cook Street, Liverpool, and will open 19 April 2023.
Tables can now be booked here.
