Antonietta launches limited edition Peroni gelato to celebrate Father’s Day

Renowned for its authentic artisan gelato, freshly baked pastries, exquisite cakes and hand crafted chocolate, Antonietta is Liverpool’s go-to for indulgence.

Located in the heart of Liverpool city centre, in the city’s popular Italian Quarter in Williamson Square, Antonietta is part of the P&D Gran Caffe family, providing sweet treats, Italian delicacies and traditional desserts as well as modern flavours, to its cafes all over the city including Lark Lane, Duke Street and Jesse Hartley Way.

Antonietta is at the heart of the P&D Italian Group which also has Il Forno, Panoramic 34, Crust, Botanico, Al Dente, Brunchin’ and Hey Farina.

Antonietta, an Italian baker who has been refining her skills in the art of pastry and gelato making since she was just 16, spending time at various colleges in Italy like the renowned l`etoile of Chioggia, leads her team to create a wide variety of delicious treats and has been serving her famous bakes in Liverpool for over 10 years.

After becoming a maestro gelataio by studying the chemistry of various gelato ingredients, Antonietta trained under Italy’s best pastry chef Gino Massari where she learned the art of cake decorating.

Even now, every year, Antonietta travels to Italy to attend courses and learn the latest techniques to perfect her craft.

Having produced over 20 different flavours of authentic Italian gelato in-house for over a decade, Antonietta has now added another flavour and this time it’s arguably the most unique one available, just in time for Father’s Day.

Antonietta’s latest flavour is Peroni gelato; authentic, creamy gelato that’s been infused with Peroni, a classic Italian beer that’s a favourite amongst the group’s guests in their restaurants and cafes. 

Made up of 1/3 Peroni and 2/3 milk base, Antonietta’s Peroni gelato is available from Sunday 15th June until Sunday 22nd June so get it whilst you can!

Antonietta explained:

“For years, we’ve served our delicious, authentic gelato in many flavours that sell out of our venues. From Kinder Bueno to Oreo, Lotus, Pistachio, Amarena Cherry, Strawberry and classic Vanilla, there’s something for everyone. But what we hadn’t created was a beer-infused flavour and what better time to launch it than Father’s Day? Perfect for Dads for an extra special after-dinner treat, our Peroni gelato is limited edition and available for one week only!”

Antonietta’s Peroni gelato is available inside the Italian Quarter in Williamson Square from Sunday 15th until Sunday 22nd June 2025.
