ARC Gloria to arrive in style on the River Mersey this weekend

The Colombian flagship ‘ARC Gloria’ will arrive at Cruise Liverpool on Friday and you’re invited to hop aboard.

The official flagship of the Colombian Navy, Arc Gloria will arrive on the River Mersey this weekend with a visually-thrilling show of music and colour to mark the 196th anniversary of the Colombian Navy. The magnificent three-masted barque training vessel will be lined with the ships company adored in their traditional, colourful dress for its arrival on Friday 30th September 2019.

Make your way to Princes Parade from 6:30pm on Friday to see the ships arrival and a live performance from Talentos Group – bringing different dance rhythms from Colombia.

The ARC Gloria will be welcomed alongside by the Ambassador of Colombia to the UK, HE Mr Antonio José Ardila, dignitaries from the UK Colombian Embassy and the city of Liverpool, at Cruise Liverpool ahead of a weekend of celebrations. 

ACR Gloria will be open to the public on Sunday 1st and Monday 2nd September from 10am – 6pm and 10am – 5pm respectively. This is your opportunity to experience traditional Colombian entertainment. The public is invited to enjoy a free tours of the ARC Gloria and the ‘Feel the Rhythm’ exhibition by ProColombia. Tours and exhibition visits on board are free, suitable for visitors of all ages and do not require booking.

After a thrilling weekend in the city, ARC Gloria will depart from Liverpool on Monday 2nd September at approximately 7pm. Don’t miss your chance to snap a few pics before she sets sail into the sun set!
