Arit Anderson joins line-up for 2026 Southport Flower Show
2 hours ago
Garden designer and television presenter Arit Anderson has been confirmed as one of the special guests at this year’s Southport Flower Show.
Arit, who is well known to viewers of Gardeners’ World, will appear at the show on Friday 21 August as part of a packed programme of guest speakers and demonstrations.
Before moving into horticulture, Arit spent 25 years working in fashion retail and creative events, combining analytical and creative skills in a fast-paced industry. Alongside this, she developed a strong interest in wellbeing, working part-time as a therapist in London and teaching holistic therapies, which also led to extensive travel across the United States.
Her passion for gardening grew from working on her own outdoor space, where she found a natural connection between design, wellbeing and the environment. She went on to study horticulture at Capel Manor College, where a collaborative student project won the Fresh Talent category at RHS Chelsea in 2013.
After completing a diploma in garden design, Arit created her own show garden which won a gold medal in the conceptual category at RHS Hampton Court in 2016. She later founded Diamond Hill Garden Design, creating gardens for private and commercial clients in London and beyond.
Alongside her design work, Arit writes and presents on gardening and environmental topics, using her platform to highlight the future of gardening in a changing climate and promote practical solutions.
She joins a strong line-up of special guests at this year’s show including Gardeners’ World presenter Adam Frost, TV chef Phil Vickery, Anton Du Beke and children’s TV presenter Andy Day. Further guest announcements are expected in the coming months.
The Southport Flower Show takes place at Victoria Park from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 August. Visitors can explore show gardens, floral displays and amateur growing competitions alongside live entertainment and demonstrations.
Early bird tickets are available now and can be used on any day of the show. Children under 16 can attend free when accompanied by a paying adult.
