We’ve lined up 7 of the best hacks you need to know about shopping in Liverpool to get the most bang for your buck……

1 – Home & Bargain

First up, we know it says Home Bargains on the shop sign, but that’s not the scouse way. Call it home & bargain and you can masquerade as a local for years! You will love this shop. Cheap brand toiletries, beauty supplies, the aforementioned Koka noodles, seriously cheap ale and all manner of cheap bits to decorate your halls too.

2 – Vintage Buys

When it comes to retro fashion, Liverpool has a lot to offer. Head down to Red Bric Vintage Hangar at the Cain’s Brewery Village and check out all the amazing furniture, oddities and fashion from way back when, plus some reworked stuff and seriously cool hats. Let’s face it, Freshers week done properly can clear out all your go-to club night outfits in no time so treat yourself to a sassy little number from the range of shops at St John’s Shopping Centre for a cheap but fierce look! This is where you’ll pick up Halloween and freshers costumes and long socks for your pub golf outfit!

5 – Primark

Listen, you know what you’re gonna get at Primark and in Liverpool we offer 4 floors crammed full of the cheap, mass produced fun fashion we all know and love. However, hear our words of warning, do not attempt to shop here at the weekends, it’s rammed. Use your free periods to have a mooch, you’ll thank us!

6 – Sunday Treats

If you’re living in halls in the city centre, you’ll be pushed to find a super market offering better value than Aldi at St John’s. Iceland Queen Square is another winner (offers free delivery with a shop over £25 too) open from 10-4pm on Sunday’s which is when you’re most likely to realise you could eat a horse and there’s nothing in!
