August Bank Holiday weekend in Liverpool, here’s what we know so far

Bank holiday weekend in Liverpool is always a mad one, who’s ready for a four day party?

We’ve waited since May for bank holiday and let’s face it, the summer one is always the best! 24th-27th August means four whole days of bank holiday weekend in Liverpool partying and we’re lining up more live music, DJ’s, quiz nights, banging beats, glitter and even a few mermaids too! From all weekenders at Creamfields to reminiscing at The Merchant and jamming with the Fab Four at The Cavern Cub, there’s something for everyone.

Here’s 12 ways you can spend your bank holiday weekend in Liverpool….

International BeatleWeek

International BeatleWeek returns and is kicking off bank holiday weekend in Liverpool with more than 70 bands from 20 different countries to various venues including The Cavern and Alma De Cuba on Friday 24th August to celebrate George Harrison’s birthday! Full event schedule here. 

Big Luv – August Affair

The Shankly Hotel is hosting another Big Luv event, the August Affair kicks off at 2pm on Friday 24th August for an epic all dayer featuring indoor and outdoor stages, 20 DJ’s, live PA’s and more. Stay and play packages are available too. Click here for more. 

Creamfields

Have you seen the line up for Creamfields 2018? Returning to Daresbury on 23rd-26th August, the annual bank holiday is back with Armand Van Helden, Fat Boy Slim, Faithless, Galantis, Idris Elba, Martin Garrix, Tiesto, Rudimental, Yousef and so many more. Tickets and line up info here. 

Folk on the Dock

Royal Albert Dock Liverpool welcomes folk & roots bands from around the world again this Bank Holiday weekend in Liverpool as Folk on the Dock offers a family friendly event with live music, right across the world heritage site. With more than 90,000 attending last year, you’ll want to get a good spec early on as the likes of Robert Vincent, Tiny Ruins and Blue Rose Code take to the stage. All the info and timings here. 

Ya Nan’s Big Quiz & Sing Along

Camp & Furnace is kicking off bank holiday weekend in Liverpool with a visit to yer nan! But this is no normal visit. Ya Nan’s Big Quiz and Sing Along will have you up on your feet (if not the tables) as you try to win the jackpot, boss prizes (including a Pat Butcher clock!) and an all round mad party with inflatables and confetti! The Incredible 11 at ON AIR

If you love 90’s and 00’s classic hip hop, you’re in for a proper treat on Bank holiday Friday, ON AIR, Parliament Street is hosting The Incredible 11, who will be performing songs by the likes of Jay-Z, Dre, Biggie and TLC! Doors are at 7pm, tickets at just £10 plus booking fee and this is definitely going to be one to remember. Info here. 

Fleetwood Mac Party, CIRCO

It’s been 40 years since Fleetwood Mac released the timeless Rumours album and CIRCO is planning one hell of a bank holiday weekend party. Tribute band Fleetwood Bac will be performing live with DJ’s playing all your hits all night long. Click here for more info. 

Gin & Lemonade Beyoncé VJay Z Special, The Merchant

There’s free entry to the Beyoncé V Jay Z club night at The Merchant on Saturday 25th August where you can expect all the biggest Bey, Jay and RNB hits from 10pm. Always a brilliant atmosphere and perfect way to shake yo jelly on bank holiday weekend in Liverpool. Info here. 

DIS:GO, 24 Kitchen Street

If you prefer a disco funky vibe to your bank holiday weekend in Liverpool, 24 Kitchen Street, Baltic Triangle is the place to be.  DIS:GO presents the Glitterbox head honcho Melvo Baptiste as he brings his eclectic collection of disco and classic house music for one night only. Info here. 

Gold Digger Bank Holiday Party, Camp & Furnace

We’re back at Camp & Furnace on Bank Holiday Sunday to get low down and dirty with Gold Digger and all the best 90’s and 00’s RNB and Hip Hop. From 50 cent, JLo, and Eminem, to TLC, Kanye West and Missy Elliott, it’s gonna go off. Inflatables crowns, cash cannon competition and twerk off’s! More info and tickets here. 

Concert in the Square

Concert Square is always bouncing at the weekends and bank holiday weekend in Liverpool is no different. Sunday 26th August sees Concert in the Square, an epic all-dayer kick off with live performances and DJ’s from 12pm. Free admission and no excuse to miss John Kelly’s 3 hour set! Info here. 

Mermaids & Glitter, OUT Liverpool

If you like your bank holiday weekends in Liverpool covered in glitter and surrounded by mermaids, get yourself to OUT Liverpool on Friday 24th August for a unique mash up party.
