Author Jude Lennon brings festive joy to Agent’s ‘All You Read is Love’ storytelling event

Agent’s Liverpool studio recently welcomed children’s author Jude Lennon for a magical All You Read is Love storytelling event.

All You Read Is Love is celebrating a major milestone as £65,000 worth of books have been donated since the initiative launched in 2020.

Jude Lennon, a Disney Winnie the Pooh Laureate winner and the celebrated author of the Lamby series, delighted young readers with an intimate storytelling session.

She read from her best-selling Lamby and Flossie’s Christmas Collection, surrounded by thousands of donated books.

Jude, known for her other works including SuperBob, Glad to Be Dan, and The Dragon of Allerton Oak (set in Calderstones Park), is an active member of the Liverpool Literacy Cycle, championing reading and writing across the Liverpool City Region.

After the reading, Jude reimagined classic Christmas stories and signed copies of her books for each child.

Since its inception in 2020, All You Read is Love has donated over £65,000 worth of books to underprivileged children across the North West.

This year alone, thanks to significant contributions from Publiship, a global book distributor, Agent has gifted over £15,000 worth of books, ensuring they reach children in time for Christmas.

The campaign’s importance has only grown amidst the cost-of-living crisis, with research showing that one in five parents are cutting back on book purchases.

In response, Agent has purchased thousands of books to deliver to schools, charities, and communities.

Jude Lennon said:   

“Agent’s All You Read is Love campaign is so, so important because every child should have access to books, stories and the potential of imagination. 

“Books are so important. Once you can read, you can teach yourself anything, you can learn, you can have adventures, make new friends and explore the world. 

“What Agent does is simply brilliant. National Literacy Trust research says children reading for pleasure is at an all-time low and gifting books to children and families can help overcome this.

“This was such a joyous event, especially in the build-up to Christmas. It was lovely to give back my time with Agent and spread joy through reading and stories.
