Baltic Creative CIC celebrates a successful year as it continues to support creatives in the city
7 hours ago

Liverpool’s creative and digital business hub, Baltic Creative CIC, is celebrating a successful 12-month period, having welcomed 11 new tenants to its spaces and facilitated the expansion of existing tenants across its extensive portfolio in the Baltic Triangle.
The continued growth of Baltic Creative means that the community interest company now sustains more than 95 businesses across its 120,000 sq ft estate, the majority of which are SMEs or microbusinesses in the creative and digital sectors.
The hub has welcomed three new businesses since January, following a further eight new tenants arriving in the previous year. Newcomers include Alfie’s Squad, a charity supporting young people bereaved by suicide; Little Vintage Photography; Docklands Speed Shop; Hand On Art Studio; Kanaval Consultancy; and MMA Design and Project Management.
The creative hub at Northern Lights has also seen positive growth, with the arrival of new artists, Ben Youdan, a mixed media artist, and Simon Hyde, a photographer.
Alongside these new arrivals, the hub has seen 14 lease renewals securing 16,081 sq ft of space. Two of Baltic Creative’s existing tenants, artist Hazel Barrett and market-leading live events website Skiddle, were both able to move within the portfolio, resulting in them expanding into units more than double the size of their previous space to support their continued business growth.

With a diverse mix of businesses, the hub continues to strengthen its position as a supporter for enterprise and innovation. The community continues to grow, with the arrival of new businesses, reinforcing the area’s strong reputation as a thriving destination for the creative and digital industries.
For the past 15 years, the creative hub has supported local and global businesses to thrive in Liverpool, transforming the Baltic Triangle area into a vital hub for the North West’s creative and digital sector.
Maggie Mullan, Principal at MMA Design and a tenant at Baltic Creative, said:
“I was drawn to the Baltic Triangle for its strong sense of community, and the shopfront space was the perfect fit for MMA Architects and Design. Since moving here, I’ve loved working in the area and being part of the Baltic Creative community.”
Maria Popezuk, Asset Manager at Baltic Creative CIC, said:
“This year has been one of significant growth and exciting momentum for Baltic Creative CIC. We’ve welcomed an inspiring range of businesses, strengthening our community and enhancing the diversity of talent within the Baltic Triangle area.
We’ve also worked closely with our longstanding tenants, supporting their transitions into new spaces that better fit their evolving business needs. Our commitment remains in providing supportive flexibility and stability for businesses at every stage of their journey.
“The Baltic Creative model is about fostering an environment where businesses of all sizes can thrive, whether they are just starting out or expanding their operations. It’s exciting to see companies grow, move into larger spaces, and remain a vital part of the creative ecosystem here in Liverpool.”

As the hub looks ahead to 2025/6, the continued expansion and retention of businesses across its properties signals a bright future for the organisation and its tenants.
With a thriving network of businesses, partnerships and opportunities constantly emerging, this growth shows no signs of slowing down.
