Baltic Creative to host a digital business festival
8 months ago
Baltic Creative CIC, the company behind the regeneration of Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle area, has announced its upcoming business festival, Bloom, which will bring together the city’s creative and digital community to spark change and shape the future of the sector.
The festival, which will take place on 8th May, will consist of panel discussions, Q&As and one-to-one advice from industry professionals – including sessions on creative and digital growth, collaboration, clusters, and environmental and social responsibility.
Focusing on three key themes – creative thinking, business scaling and culture-led regeneration – Bloom will prompt wider conversations on key topics and trends within the creative and digital space, providing attendees with the opportunity to grow their network and collaborate with peers from across the community.
Despite Liverpool City Region being home to many creative and digital start-ups, businesses in the sector require meaningful guidance to scale their operations. Bloom will host conversations designed to offer that support, with regional leaders from the sector sharing their experiences.
Attendees will also be able to access advice one-to-one with business experts and professional service consultants, as well as receive tips and insights from businesses who have experienced the same challenges and opportunities.
The creative industries contributed £109bn to the UK economy in 2021 – equating to 5.6% of total economic output, with almost half of that (2.3%) coming from IT, software and computer services alone. With the creative and digital sector in Liverpool expected to grow by more than 10% by 2028, this new business festival presents a timely opportunity to strengthen the ecosystem and enable continued growth.
Lynn Haime, CEO at Baltic Creative CIC, said:
“We’re very pleased to be launching Bloom this May. This new event is designed to bring together the creative and digital community here in the Baltic Triangle, while also widening that community with attendees and speakers from across the North West region.
“As a community, we have lots to be proud of – the thriving ecosystem we’ve built here in the Baltic over the last fifteen years, the growing number of start-ups and scale-ups choosing Liverpool as their home, and the economic growth we see on the horizon because of strategic efforts to grow our creative and digital footprint.
“Bloom will be a celebration of those efforts, while also looking to the future, imagining what the next few years will look like for the region and the sector. We’re ready to host insightful conversations and enable continued learning and collaboration across our growing northern creative and digital communities.”
