Baltic Creative has announced that Bloom Festival will return to Liverpool on Thursday 6 March 2025.
Steve Rotheram, Mayor of the Liverpool City Region, and Kim McGuinness, Mayor of North East England, will officially open Bloom Festival at Camp and Furnace in the Baltic Triangle.
The full-day event is set to be a powerhouse of inspiration, support, and collaboration for businesses working in the North’s booming creative and digital industries.
Bloom 2025 will kick off with a panel discussion, led by the mayors in conversation with Caroline Norbury OBE, chief executive of Creative UK, and Jude Kelly CBE, chair of One Creative North, focused on the themes of collaboration and the power of cross-regional partnerships.
‘One Creative North: Stronger Together’ will explore current policies, future trends, and topics including economic growth, infrastructure investment and innovation. Centred around the power of pan-Northern collaboration, the session will focus on the key regional priorities for advancing the creative, digital and tech sectors in the North of England.
The event will also feature a keynote presentation from author, presenter and business consultant, Mark Shayler, and panel discussions on film, TV and video game production; the next generation of the creative workforce; and the role of placemaking in creative ecosystem development.
Liverpool John Moores University returns as the headline sponsor for this year’s Bloom, with Civic Engineers sponsoring the ‘Creative Placemaking: People, Places and Possibility’ panel. The after party will be hosted at, and sponsored by, BOXPARK.
