Seel Street will be the new home of former Liverpool night stop 53, making way for bar 54
’54’, which has taken its inspiration from New York’s disco scene, will be opened by the owners of the former ’53’ bar which was forced to close following a devastating blaze earlier this year.
The team behind Liverpool’s popular 53 bar, which closed following a devastating fire earlier this year, have announced that they will open a brand new disco and vocal-house bar on Seel Street on 30th November.
The 5000 sq ft venue will consist of a state of the art sound system and video wall. It will include 22 booths, stage area and outdoor area.

A VIP mezzanine area separates the venue into two floors. The much loved party destination has not only relocated but has rebranded as bar ‘54’ which is set to be a more polished and popular version of its predecessor., has taken it inspiration from New York’s disco scene and will offer big name acts in the build up to Christmas.
Nightlife-lovers have been guessing the whereabouts of the venue since bar 54 started teasing the new premises on social media earlier this month.
Business development manager for 54, Christian Boyle, said: “After the devastating fire to 53 we are happy to be back with a new venue, the same but different with improvements in production creating an even better experience. It is going to be Liverpool’s ultimate super club with a nod to old school disco and vocal house classics and the New York’s disco scene. The light at the end of the tunnel is now approaching fast, and for us here at 54 we cant wait to re-open our amazing new site at the bottom of seel street.
When we had announced that we would be reopening our doors we didn’t know how the public would react, but bookings have been flooding in since, with a sold out launch, before people even knew where we were going to be. Its hugely positive to know that there is still demand for our brand and we can’t wait to open again at the end of the month.”
