Beatles Story Launches ‘With a Little Help from My (Little) Friends’
6 years ago

The Beatles Story has teamed up with Radio City’s Cash for Kids to bring ‘A Little Help’ to the lives of disabled and disadvantaged children across the Liverpool City Region.
The fundraising campaign will be launched on 29th March 2017 to mark 50 years since The Beatles began recording ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’; a song which holds a poignant message and one of the tracks from their iconic ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band’ album.
The Beatles Story are taking the opportunity on this key anniversary to raise awareness and support for Cash for Kids, a fantastic UK charity which responds to the needs of children in our communities so that those at a disadvantage can live life to the full and realise their individual potential.
The campaign will be launched through a series of videos showcasing some of the work that Cash for Kids have been supporting in the community. Narrated by The Beatles Story’s own ‘little friends’, The Boot-high Beatles, the videos feature Maizie Edmunds, Clare Mount School, Team Oasis and Poppy Fairclough.

Diane Glover, Marketing Manager at The Beatles Story said: “We are delighted to be supporting Cash for Kids who have been doing some fantastic work in the Wirral, Liverpool, The North West and North Wales. We wanted to showcase this work within our Sgt Pepper 50th anniversary campaign and The Beatles’ song ‘With A Little Help From My Friends’ is the perfect opportunity for us to do so. We hope that people both locally and internationally recognise the great work that they do and will give generously towards the cause”.
Carol Clare, Cash for Kids Charity Manager said: “We are honoured to have been chosen by The Beatles Story as the benefiting charity from the celebration of this iconic album. ‘With A Little Help From our Friends’ we will be able to continue to support our local underprivileged and needy children.”
With the kind help and support of public donations, Cash for Kids are able to make a massive difference to the lives of many disabled and disadvantaged children across the UK. Donations can now be accepted online at beatlesstory.com.
Cash for Kids will also be hosting an afternoon fundraising event at Liverpool’s Hilton Hotel on Thursday 8th June 2017; tickets for which can be purchased online with all proceeds going towards the charity. The Sgt. Pepper-themed event will include entertainment, dinner, drinks, a charity raffle and guest speakers.
