Bold Street Coffee is back

Have you checked out the new and improved Bold Street Coffee yet?

Just seven months since a hugely successful crowdfunding campaign, which raised over £35k by 884 backers, Bold Street Coffee is back, with a brand new look, new menu and a sister concept in Castle Street’s Santa Maluco under their belt, but according to owners Sam Tawil and Katy Monti, this is just the beginning.

89 Bold Street now boasts a bigger space, fitted with a new kitchen and equipped with more appliances, which has allowed them to add new offerings to their already popular food menu, such as the BSC Fry, a range of BSC Buoys on brioche buns and pancakes.

This also includes the addition of vegan options, in-house baked goods and new dishes for a weekly specials board.

On their return to 89 Bold Street, co-owner, Sam Tawil, said: “It’s so good to be back! The response since re-opening has been heart-warming. We thought people may have forgotten about us, but that’s not the case at all.

“Admittedly it got pretty stressful at times and there was a lot of uncertainty on what was going to happen, but after an overwhelming reaction to our #Backin89 Kickstarter campaign, and thanks to the support of Graffiti Spirits Group – we’re back bigger and stronger.”

The future is looking bright for the Bold Street favourites. As well as a brand-new look in 89 Bold Street, the award-winning coffee house has just opened permanent sister store, Castle Street Coffee in Santa Maluco.

This came after the success of Bold Street Coffee’s pop up at the pizzeria during their closure and sees an all new brunch menu that incorporates favourites from Bold Street Coffee with a twist of Santa Maluco.

However, the coffee shop is not stopping there, as well as improvements to their 89 brunch menu, Bold Street Coffee will be extending its opening hours until 12am and launching an evening food menu, along with a cocktail menu.

Guests can get a first taste of these new cocktails on Saturday February 16th when Bold Street Coffee will be opening their doors to the evening crowd for the first time, with a DJ playing till 12am.

Sam continues: “We’re still working on the evening menu so I can’t give too much away, but guests can expect a casual dining experience. We’ll be somewhere people can come after work and chill with a drink and share food with friends.”
