Bongo’s Bingo & Clean Bandit are teaming to bring students a special virtual freshers event
3 years ago

Launching live at 8pm on Thursday 1st October 2020, students in Liverpool will be able to tune in to a 3-hour, nationwide event like no other – Freshers Goes Virtual.
The unique and very much crazy show will feature Bongoās Bingoās largest ever live-stream, incredible DJ sets from Clean Bandit and special guests, as well as heaps of prizes to be won during the show.
Thereās already an ever-growing roster of universities signing-up to access this show exclusively for their students, offering them a unique way to come together and party online as the options to go out dwindle with Covid-19.
Itās fair to say going or returning to university will be a very different experience this year and letās face it, itās been a very strange time for everyone. But the team at The Collab & Paradigm Agency have worked together to find a way to bring an evening of outrageous fun to all students this October for one spectacular night-only, presented by Southern Comfort, the unique Spirit of New Orleans.
Jonny Bongo and the guys are bringing their magic and mayhem-inspired quiz show chaos and a university-style challenge for the chance to win huge prizes, including an all-expenses paid experience from Southern Comfort and an entire year of free sneakers from schuh. Clean Bandit will top off the show, performing an exclusive DJ set as a group. Following multiple hits, including 4 UK number ones, Clean Bandit and Mabel have recently released āTick Tockā featuring 24kGoldn which is rapidly steaming up the UK charts ā link to the track here.
Fun-loving students nationwide will be able to interact with the action-packed 3-hour show whilst enjoying Southern Comfortās brand new cocktail, Passionate Twist. Prepare yourself for a fruity taste explosion, twisting together Southern Comfort, passionfruit juice, orange juice and accessorised with a watermelon wedge (watermelon sweets are fun too!). All of the ingredients will be available to order from Co-op through Deliveroo, so that students can experience the taste of New Orleans from the comfort of their homes during the one-off event.
schuh says:
āWe are very excited to be partnering with Freshers Goes Virtual, alongside the inimitable Bongos Bingo as part of our student campaign for 2020. It is an experience that we know is going to resonate with an important part of schuhās audience and for us, it is such a great way to engage with students. We are delighted that we have managed to get one of our key brands, Dr Martens, involved too who are kindly giving away 40 pairs of the classic 1460 boot.ā
The Collab says:
āWe wanted to create something fun and unique for students across the country to fill the gaping hole in the 2020 Freshers Calendar. Our collaboration with Paradigm UK and Southern Comfort has pulled together an epic line-up of DJās, plus the almighty Bongoās Bingo to deliver what promises to be a must see virtual event featuring amazing performances, lots of fun and unmissable prizes. Over 25 Universities are joining us for the ride and we canāt wait to throw one big party for thousands of students across the UK.ā
