Book your Mersey Ferries River Explorer Cruise and Beatles Story joint ticket for double the fun

Advertorial

Money can’t buy you love, but it can buy you a fantastic day out, taking in not just one but two amazing Liverpool attractions.

This summer you can combine two of the city’s most iconic experiences and enjoy a 50-minute River Explorer Cruise with Mersey Ferries and a visit to the award-winning Beatles Story to celebrate everything Fab Four, in one incredible package with a joint River Cruise & The Beatles Story ticket.

Be a Day Tripper at The Beatles Story, Royal Albert Dock, and travel back in time to the 60s to learn all about John, Paul, George, and Ringo, from the music they created to the styles they adopted and the fashions they wore.

It’s an immersive experience into Liverpool’s rich musical heritage which gives visitors the chance to hear the story of how four young lads from Liverpool were propelled to worldwide fame from humble childhood beginnings.

Key places like Abbey Road Studios, NEMS Record Store and The Cavern Club have been recreated so you can imagine what it was like decades ago, and you can see unique memorabilia in the flesh, from George Harrison’s first guitar to John Lennon’s last piano.

There’s even a Fab4 Café if you need a bite to eat before you head out for fun on the River Mersey  and, in case you’re worried about whether the kids will enjoy it, there’s a family-friendly Discovery Zone at The Beatles Story which they’ll love.

If you’re not feeling peckish at The Beatles Story, you can always wait until you get to Mersey Ferries Liverpool Gerry Marsden Ferry Terminal at the Pier Head, because there’s a Fab4 Café there too, for lunch or a quick coffee before you get on board.

Mersey Ferries River Explorer Cruises set sail every hour on the hour from Pier Head and at 20-past the hour from Seacombe Ferry Terminal on the Wirral. Cruises depart between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday, and 10am to 6pm at weekends and Bank Holidays, so you can take your time, hop on and off as you please, and enjoy the whole day at your pace.

Then it’s the chance to feel the wind in your hair, and the waves beneath your feet, as you’re whisked along the renowned waterfront on this fantastic 50-minute cruise.

There’s no other way to get such stunning views of the city’s legendary waterfront than from the river, so sit back with a tea or coffee – or a glass of fizz (what the hey, you’re enjoying yourself!) – while you listen to the expert recorded commentary of Liverpool and Wirral’s history. You’ll also learn amazing facts about Mersey Ferries connection to The Beatles and hear about their four performances on The Royal Iris at The Cavern Club’s famous Riverboat Shuffle Cruises in 1961 and 1962.

Get phones and cameras at the ready and don’t forget to admire landmarks like the impressive Three Graces, The Tobacco Warehouse, The Museum of Liverpool and The Royal Albert Dock.

It’s all about the memories – and it goes without saying, these will be Fab!
