Bowring Park brings festive fun to families this Christmas
1 hour ago
Bowring Park is bringing the festive spirit to Huyton this December with a packed programme of Christmas activities designed for the whole family.
Throughout the month, the park has hosted a series of creative workshops, performances and family-friendly events, with a festive finale taking place in the week leading up to Christmas.
The main highlight is the Christmas Family Fun Day on Sunday 22 December, running from 10.30am to 5pm. The park will be transformed into a Christmas hub, offering everything from festive crafts and wreath making to face painting, forest school activities and nature trails.
Families can also enjoy carousel rides, carols, seasonal treats and warming drinks including hot chocolate and mulled wine. Special appearances from Santa and the Grinch will add to the celebrations.

Live music has played a big part in Bowring Park’s festive programme, with performances from local choirs including Wall of Sound Choir and Sound Together Choir, helping to create a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere.
The celebrations continue on Monday 23 December with Story Time with Santa from 12pm to 1pm, followed by a visit from Elsa from Frozen between 1pm and 2pm, offering one last chance for families to soak up the Christmas magic before the big day.
The festive programme reflects Bowring Park’s ongoing focus on community wellbeing, creativity and togetherness, with events designed to be accessible and welcoming to all. Many activities are free or low-cost to ensure families can take part during the Christmas period.
