BOXPARK Liverpool to celebrate first birthday with a weekend of free events, giveaways, and prizes

Balloons filled with free prizes will appear at landmark locations across Liverpool city centre this weekend as part of BOXPARK Liverpool’s first birthday celebrations.

To mark its first anniversary, BOXPARK Liverpool is hosting a packed weekend of festivities, including the giveaway of 365 complimentary meals each day from its acclaimed street food vendors.

Running from Friday 2nd to Sunday 4th May, and in partnership with Coors, the celebrations will highlight BOXPARK’s popular “Eat, Drink, Play” ethos. Guests can look forward to an exciting programme of free events at the award-winning venue, offering delicious dishes, drinks, and entertainment across the weekend.

As part of the celebrations, balloons will be placed at key city landmarks, each containing a voucher redeemable for a complimentary meal at BOXPARK Liverpool. Participants are encouraged to follow BOXPARK Liverpool’s Instagram page for clues on the pop-up locations each day and then race to claim a balloon.

Vouchers can be redeemed at BOXPARK’s selection of popular street food vendors, including Beak Fried Chicken, Yoki Social Table, Christakis, Yum Cha, Shake?, and Simply Salt N Pepper.

Throughout the weekend, 1,095 complimentary dishes will be given away in total. Guests can also enter to win a free meal by signing up via BOXPARK Liverpool’s website. Visitors to the venue can further enjoy £3 pints of Coors all weekend.

The weekend’s events include a special birthday edition of the ever-popular Drag Bingo on Friday 2nd May from 7pm, hosted by resident drag star Pam Sandwich (Married at First Sight’s Thomas Hartley) alongside Bailey J Mills and Lill, with a grand £500 cash prize and a range of other prizes and vouchers.

On Saturday 3rd May, the celebrations continue with an all-day free event featuring bouncy castles, cake, pick & mix stations, glitter bars, and, from 7pm, a House & Disco party headlined by House Gospel Choir and local DJ talent.

The festivities conclude on Bank Holiday Sunday 4th May with a spectacular family-friendly Kids Social event from 12pm to 7pm. Entry is free, and activities will include stage games and prizes, Liverpool’s biggest game of pass the parcel, circus skills workshops, a silent disco, arts and crafts, face painting, party bags, and a bouncy castle.
