Brand new night Halcyon will transform Constellations into a ‘Warehouse Jungle’ on Friday
7 years ago
Remember those halcyon days when you didn’t have to travel to Manchester or pay through the nose for a decent tech event? Well, those days are back!
On Friday June 24th the appropriately named Halcyon will launch its first event at Constellations in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle…and if you’re quick it will only cost you a tenner!
Halcyon is the concept of two young local promoters, Adam Ferdinand and Jordan MacDonald. “We want to build an event with a difference,” says Jordan who describes the night as being “somewhere between house music and techno…an intimate experience showcasing great up-and-coming DJs as well as fresh, young, local talentwhere everyone’s there for nothing more than the music and a good time.”
The line-up certainly looks impressive. They are bringing the unique and vibrant sounds of Jey Kurmis and Latmun to Liverpool before the two renowned DJs head off to Ibiza and the night will also feature Mia Mendi b2b Meti Memeti, founders of the Suah label, who currently host Deeper Effects. The vibes are guaranteed to get you grooving.

But how will it be different? “We’re transforming Constellations into a Warehouse Jungle,” explains Adam. “Not only that, but the garden there is amazing and will have an outdoor bar playing laid back Latino sounds.” Certainly the perfect place to chill and watch the sunset or make the most of the summer air before heading back into the jungle where the music will be ringing from wall to wall, through the leaves and directly into your ears.
So if you’re not going to Glastonbury or Hideout that weekend, Halcyon has got to be worth a visit. You could witness the birth of something really special: top quality sounds in a unique space with a welcoming atmosphere. And you don’t even have to go back to a soggy tent afterwards.
