BrewDog, whose bar in Manolis Yard, Colquitt Street, specialises in selling the Scottish brewery’s craft beers along with guest brews too, has unveiled its latest bevvy which it describes on its website as “short-sighted beer for tall stories”!
Dry-hopped for a ‘juicy hit’ with pineapple, mango and a hint of zesty lime, the IPA has been released in response to the saga of Boris Johnson’s chief advisor who caused uproar when he seemingly went against government regulations to drive more than 20 miles from his father’s property to Barnard Castle with his wife and son.
He claimed the purpose of the drive was to check whether his eyesight was sufficiently recovered following his period of self-isolation.
All profits of the new brew will go towards the brand’s hand sanitiser, production of which started in March – as well as towards NHS and health care charities.
