Buy, sell and trade trainer store, KershKicks has revealed the opening date for its first-ever Liverpool store and it’s this Saturday.
The biggest store yet for the brand, set up by Liverpool-born siblings, the Kersh brothers – on Slater Street – is giving away over £5k worth of the most sought after hyped trainers on the market as it opens its doors.
Kershkicks – which will be the first specialist sneaker store in Liverpool to offer ‘sneaker heads’ the chance to also sell and trade their ‘kicks’, as well as purchase a wide range of luxury footwear, including rare and exclusive limited editions, streetwear and deadstock collections is set to open at midday on Saturday 30th July.
The retailer adored by “scousers since the very beginning of its journey”, says founder Sam Kersh, brings something unique to the city’s high-street, and in celebration of the opening it will be activating several different in-store giveaways including trainers worth over £5k in value and giving the first flurry of shopper’s free merchandise.
Sam continued: “We know Liverpool has always had a special relationship with ‘110s’ so we thought what better way to celebrate our new store’s opening than by giving away 20 pairs of the latest Air Max 95 Beetroots for free.
“But the giveaways don’t stop there; we will also be doing random acts of kindness across the weekend with lucky shoppers in with a chance of bagging themselves some collector items worth hundreds of pounds. So, we really hope many of our loyal customers, as well as new, will pop down and say hello.”
The new 1000 sq ft unit on Slater Street will mark the brand’s Liverpool debut and continue its UK expansion, with stores already established in Manchester and Glasgow. This weekend will see both brothers open the doors at 12pm and will kickstart an array of in-store promotions, giveaways, shock drops and brand activations including £1,000 worth of store credit for one lucky customer. Also, celebrity customers are rumoured to be in attendance.
Fellow co-founder and brother Ben continued: “We’re so excited to finally be able to share with our loyal fellow ‘sneaker heads’ that our opening is on its way – and only a few days to go! Scousers have been some of our most loyal customers and Instagram followers and have supported us since the very beginning. So, we can’t wait to welcome everyone through our doors.
“Our Slater Street store will be a marketplace for the very best grails in the city.”
KershKicks is known for being home to the most exclusive, hyped streetwear clothing in the UK, including Supreme, Palace and Anti Social Social Club as well as its ever-growing range of sneakers including the world’s most sought-after designs such as – Air Max, Dunks, Jordans, Yeezy’s, New Balance and more.
Its growing brand presence is also resulting in a famous following, with celebrity clientele including musicians such as Lewis Capaldi, Aitch and Centralcee, as well as being a hub for many Premier League Football-stars, and YouTubers, which the brothers indicated could be in attendance across the opening weekend.
Ben continued: “Our kicks are loved by some famous faces, and we have of course invited our close-knit of friends and well-known customers down to the opening, so there might be a chance of celeb spotting as we open our doors.”
The siblings make clear their offering is something new for the city, Sam ended: “Our buy, sell, trade model makes us a hub for both sneaker enthusiasts and the casual sneaker fan. We offer people the opportunity to make money on their own collections and trade for their most desired grails.
“Our new Liverpool store is something special and the timing of our homecoming feels right. We know what our city wants and needs when it comes to streetwear and sneakers, and nobody does it quite like we do.
The Slater Street store still has job vacancies live with all details over on its Instagram page @Kershkicks and the new store will be open to shoppers on Saturday 30th July at 12pm with regular opening times being 11am-630pm Monday – Saturday and 11-5pm Sundays.
