Camp and Furnace set up fan park for England vs Germany game

A paradise for football fans has been set up in Liverpool city centre ahead of England’s crunch Euro 2020 match against Germany.

The Three Lions will take on Joachim Löw’s men at Wembley on June 29 in the last-16 and it will be the first tournament meeting between the two sides since the World Cup in 2010.

The game will be a historic affair and full of drama as England host Germany in what is one of football’s most evocative rivalries.

Fans across the country will be keen to seek venues with the best atmosphere ahead of the contest and luckily for those in Liverpool, an incredible fan park has been set up at Camp and Furnace.

Hundreds of fans are set to attend the iconic Baltic Triangle venue for the game as a big screen has been erected and a mega sound system awaits.

Camp and Furnace director Paul Speed said:

“The atmosphere here is set to be unrivalled anywhere in Liverpool and will be just about as close to the real thing as you can get.

“We’ve already had an unbelievable amount of success with our England matches being shown on the big screen so far.

“And the England v Germany match is going to be no exception. It really is guaranteed to be the best place to watch the game this summer with a world-class sound system and a giant screen ready to entertain fans.”

Steins and street food will also be sold throughout the evening as Gareth Southgate looks to avenge England’s penalty shootout defeat at Euro ‘96 against Germany, in which he missed the deciding spot kick at Wembley.

Doors open at 3pm on the night ahead of the 5pm kick-off while Sweden’s match with the Ukraine will also be shown after the big showdown – the winners of both games will face each other in the quarter finals.

Camp and Furnace is the original event space in Liverpool’s thriving Baltic Triangle, having hosted various live music events and entertaining performances for more than a decade.
