Carols By Candlelight at Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral to support the NSPCC
3 years ago
Tickets are on sale now for one of Liverpool’s biggest fundraising events for the NSPCC this Christmas.
The NSPCC’s Carols By Candlelight will once again be held at Liverpool’s Metropolitan Cathedral on 7pm on Tuesday, December 7, welcoming hundreds of people to the early evening festive concert to raise vital funds for the children’s charity.
This year’s event is sponsored by Home Bargains and will include performances by PopVox Choir and the fantastic Wirral Schools’ Concert Band, as well as a festive poetry reading from actor Joe McGann.
Janette Drew, NSPCC Community Fundraising Manager, said she was looking forward to this year’s event, which she said would be a wonderful return to face-to-face fundraising after the pandemic.
Janette said: “The last 18 months have been incredibly difficult for children and families in Merseyside and across the UK, but we’re constantly inspired by the courage and resilience they have shown.
“As a charity, we’ve adapted to ensure we and our Childline service can still be there for children and young people whenever they need help. Every £4 raised represents one Childline call we can answer, so by joining us for Carols By Candlelight in Liverpool, you can help us be here for more children.”
