Cast of M&S Bank Arena panto spread Christmas cheer at Zoe’s Place
38 minutes ago
The cast of this year’s M&S Bank Arena pantomime, paid a visit to Zoe’s Place to spread Christmas cheer to children, their families and staff.
The visit featured stars including Coronation Street favourite Helen Flanagan and much-loved panto performer Bippo, who delighted children and siblings with flashing festive gifts such as glow wands and light-up toys. The cast also led everyone in Christmas songs and classic panto fun, bringing smiles, laughter and a truly memorable festive atmosphere to the hospice.
The visit was made possible thanks to the strong and growing relationship between M&S Bank Arena and Liverpool Zoe’s Place, which was strengthened earlier this year through a successful fundraising event hosted at the arena. That partnership inspired this year’s Christmas visit, reinforcing the shared commitment to supporting local children and families.
From next year, Liverpool Zoe’s Place will become Little Lights, continuing its vital mission to care for babies, children and young people with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions, while supporting families at the most difficult times of their lives.
Gina Earnshaw, Senior Corporate and Major Donor Fundraiser at Liverpool Zoe’s Place said:
“Yesterday’s visit was truly magical for our children and families. At Liverpool Zoe’s Place we always strive to make Christmas as special and joyful as possible for everyone here, and seeing familiar panto faces, hearing festive songs and watching smiles light up the rooms was incredibly heart-warming. We are so grateful to M&S Bank Arena and the panto cast for their kindness and continued support, partnerships like this mean so much to us.”

Ben Williams, Commercial & Business Development Director for the ACC Liverpool Group, who operate the M&S Bank Arena added:
“Our relationship with Liverpool Zoe’s Place has grown stronger this year following the incredible fundraising efforts at the arena, and we were determined to turn that support into something truly special this Christmas. Bringing the panto cast to visit the children and families was a perfect way to give back to an amazing charity that does life-changing work every day.”
James Shone, Managing Director of Shone Productions, co-producer of the M&S Bank arena’s pantomime, said:
“Panto is all about joy, laughter and bringing people together, so being able to share that spirit with the children and families at Liverpool Zoe’s Place has been an absolute honour. Our cast were deeply moved by the visit, and we’re proud to support such an important local hospice.”
The visit marks another milestone in the growing partnership between M&S Bank Arena and Liverpool Zoe’s Place, demonstrating how entertainment, community and compassion can come together to make a real difference.
