Celebrate David Bowie’s 75th birthday at Camp and Furnace
3 years ago
Camp and Furnace is throwing David Bowie a huge 75th birthday party with a live band, themed cocktails and more in tribute to the music icon.
Whether you remember him best as Ziggy Stardust, the Thin White Duke, Major Tom, Aladdin Sane, the Goblin King, Halloween Jack or even Elephant Man… David Bowie is a man to be truly celebrated.
And in honour of what would have been his 75th birthday, Camp and Furnace are hosting a huge party on Friday January 14 in tribute to the glam rock king.
The iconic Baltic Triangle venue has organised an incredible night of celebration, appreciation and adoration for one of the most influential, ever-changing legends in music history.
On the night, The Classic Double band will perform Bowie’s hits live on stage as music video moments are played out alongside stunning visuals.
Camp and Furnace director Paul Speed said:
“We’re calling all Heroes, Pretty Things and Rebel Rebels for an incredible night in celebration of Bowie’s 75th birthday this month (Saturday, January 8).
“So, Let’s Dance and come together to honour the Picasso of Pop, the Master of Reinvention and true King of Glam Rock – we ‘promise it won’t be boring’.”
Organisers say that attendees on the night can also expect themed Bowie cocktails and dress-up is, of course, very much encouraged.
There will be Bowie hits, collaborations and influences played all night long during the event which kicks off at 8pm and ends at 1am.
Early bird tickets are already sold out but a second release is available for £10 plus £1 booking fee while there is a discount offered on tickets for NHS workers, priced at £5 with a 50p booking fee, with all information and ticket booking details here.
