Halloween
Celebrate Halloween at Eureka! Science + Discovery with their special Half Term event
1 year ago
Experience a 4.3 metre, anatomically correct house spider as she hangs from the ceiling… and pose for a selfie next to her 20cm fangs if you dare!Â
From 21 Oct – 5 Nov, the theatre at Eureka! Science + Discovery will be transformed into a nest by Sally the Spider!
After your Sally encounter, get creative and make your own slime, spiders, and worms in hands-on workshops or get techy and work on your own spooky stop motion animation with Jam Coding!
There’s also plenty happening for the youngest members of the family with woodland themed story time sessions where little ones can sit on small toadstools while one of Eureka’s enablers reads beasty-themed tales plus Bothersome Beasts pebble painting.
The activities change daily, so if you’re looking to attend multiple – no problem! Just take a look at the October Half Term event listing on Eureka! Science + Discovery’s website.
The event lists all activities, dates, and times so that you’re able to plan your day and decide what you’d like to book once you arrive.Â
And don’t forget that their standard price ticket is actually an annual pass, so you pay once and get to go back as many times as you like for free for the next 12 months.
So, if you want to also explore the ins and outs of bothersome but brilliant beasts with Animal Teach, or discover the vital role slime plays in nature in our Survival of the Slimiest workshop, you’ll be able to do it all!
Opening in November 2022, Eureka! Science + Discovery has already proved a hit with local families and has had visitors travelling from all over the UK – and even some from abroad, to experience the new offer.
Now approaching their one-year anniversary, the attraction has grown it’s offering with the addition of an on-site café, an under 7’s area as well as an ever-changing programme of events, making the purchase of an annual pass fantastic value for money (and all those rainy-day activities sorted!)
Eureka!’s unique blend of creative learning and fun colourful exhibits combined with cutting-edge 21st-century technology delivers an engaging and fun-filled family day out all through the year, but for October Half Term they are being joined by a long list of additional activity providers.
On Halloween itself, your little ones can transform into Bothersome Beasts themselves in time for some trick or treating with Eureka!’s expert face painters! And if that’s not enough… Did you know they have a dedicated under 7’s zone? The Burrow is filled with nature-inspired activities especially for the younger visitors.
