Christmas Wine Tasting tonight at Lock and Key on Duke Street

Lock and Key on Duke Street is the perfect place to get cosy this Christmas, and tonight they are kicking off the season with a special festive wine tasting event.

Not even three months old, Lock & Key Hotel, Bar & Kitchen is now a firm fixture on Liverpool’s food & drink scene, with the majority of visitors already rating the new venue as excellent on TripAdvisor. In the new year a stunning 14 bedroom, boutique hotel will open on the site too, offering visitors 24 hour concierge, and the perfect location in the heart of the city centre.

If you’re a fan of decadent settings, sweeping staircases, original décor with modern, quirky twists, plus sumptuous menus designed by local chefs, craft beers and themed cocktails, you’re going to love Lock & Key.

The boutique hotel, bar and kitchen is a brand new venture for Liverpool Developers Andrew Spencer, Tom Bower and Michael Connolly and has revitalised the abandoned Grade II listed 15-17 Duke Street Property. Having stood empty or over a decade, the team have worked hard to convert the building while retaining lots of the original features, including the original, distinctive Georgian shop front windows.

Tonight, for one night only they introduce you to James Mitchell from Inverarity Morton who will be treating guests to a handy Christmas wine tasting master class, talking them through the perfect fizz, reds & whites to have on your Christmas table.All wines will be available to purchase at the end of the night, and hot gin toddies and more available throughout the festive season.

The newest name to join the every growing Duke Street social scene is open from 8am-12am daily, and offers a breakfast and lunch menu until 5pm, leading onto gourmet bar snacks available throughout the evening. Maintaining its dedication to local suppliers and producers, coffee and cakes from Laura’s Little Bakery and Neighbourhood Coffee are also available throughout the day.
