Chy Lark Lane closes its doors as Yum Cha officially launches
4 years ago
The ever popular Chy Chinese Restaurant on Lark Lane has sold its last meal. The Chinese restaurant which opened in 2011 has been sold to a third party and is expected to open soon as a new gastro pub. However the company behind Chi has now officially launched a new dining concept on the lane.
Chy which opened in 2011 was the first of the family owned Chy Chinese restaurants across the city. The remaining Chy restaurants are unaffected by this sale and any upcoming bookings will be honoured at Chy Liverpool (Renshaw Street).
Fear not take away orders can still be made by the team at Chy Liverpool and delivered across the whole of South Liverpool. So you won’t miss out on your favourite Chinese dishes!
Owner Adam Wan commented:
“We thank every single customer for the support shown to Chy Lark Lane over the years. It’s been a brilliant journey but times change and since opening our new Dim Sum restaurant, Yum Cha (also on Lark Lane) the pressures of running both venues has taken its toll on the family and so we have decided to focus our efforts on our new venture and the remaining Chy restaurant.
Chy Liverpool is unaffected and will continue to offer takeaway across South Liverpool and dine-in when restrictions are lifted. We wish the new owners the best of luck with their venture.”
Yum Cha is expected to reopen to diners after lockdown.
