Comedian Lloyd Griffith to headline comedy line-up at Liverpool’s drive-in winter festival The Parking Lot Social
Now more than ever, everyone is in need of a little festive cheer and The Parking Lot social is bringing the laughs to Liverpool this Christmas with drive-in comedy night ‘Parking LOL’.
Taking place at Liverpool John Lennon Airport on 9th December, the evening will see some of the UK’s most loved comedians take to the stage with the epic line-up announced today.
Leading the bill is celebrated Grimsby comedian, Lloyd Griffith – billed by The Times as ‘disarmingly good’ and with a well-known singing talent. Following a successful presenting career on Soccer AM and Sky Sports, Lloyd then focused his career on comedy and in recent years has been seen on tour with Jack Whitehall and Rob Beckett.
Joining Griffith is award winning Yorkshire comedian Rob Mulholland. A regular on the northern comedy circuit who now travels the world with his talent, Rob is six foot seven of pure funny and mischievous humour.
Also featured is Dan Nightingale, one of stand-ups brightest stars who combines cutting observation with his natural playfulness and great gags! Expect genuine, honest, unpredictable content that will keep you laughing all night.
Completing the line-up is Manchester based comedy star Nina Gilligan who is a regular on the UK comedy circuit known for her outrageous and observational comedy. Billed as a ‘bolshier Mrs Merton’, we’re sure her act will leave Liverpool desperate for more!
And the fun doesn’t stop there, ahead of the show visitors will be treated to musical entertainment from live DJs playing a mix of classic anthems and the latest hits straight to your car.
As well as enjoying the comedy and music, order tasty festive snacks directly to your cars from some of the best local food trucks around. Expect classic gourmet burgers, loaded fries, wood-fired pizzas and hot dogs alongside sweet winter warmers including hot chocolate, doughnuts, toasted nuts, gingerbread men and more.
In line with government guidelines, safety is at the heart of every event and audiences will participate in the immersive, interactive shows from their own cars. The events are completely contactless ensuring a safe and socially distant experience with strict cleaning and social distancing rules throughout and organisers have committed to full ticket refunds if additional government restrictions should restrict the event from going ahead.
John Kinnersley, Chief Operating Officer at XL Event Lab, the company behind the events, said:
‘We are delighted to secure such fantastic talent for our Liverpool ‘Parking LOL’ line-up. We’re sure the event will bring people some much needed fun and cheer in the lead up to Christmas and we’re thrilled to be able to both support local talent and give people the live entertainment they’ve been craving all year.”
Tickets are on sale now, tickets are priced from £31.68 per car and are available to purchase here. Organisers are promising a full refund if events have to be cancelled if restrictions change.
