Constellations launch Crowdfunder – Here’s how you can help
5 years ago

Based in the Baltic Triangle for the past four years, Constellations has become a landmark venue in the city, attracting upwards of 2000 people per week.
With the opening of their second venue, Hinterlands, this story looks set to evolve; providing a sanctuary for more cultural, business, music and festival events in Liverpool.
The team behind Constellations are set to remain at their Greenland Street home until the end of 2019 before expanding full-time into the Hinterlands site at the Cains Brewery.
The land upon which Constellations is built has been purchased by Legacie Developments – who have put in a planning application for a residential development. Legacie Developments have agreed to extend our lease for a further 12 months. Although there is no official date for when Constellations will close, it is likely to be towards the end of 2019.
“Legacie Developments have been completely transparent with us about their plans and they have extended our lease until the last quarter of 2019. This wasn’t something they were obligated to do and have been supportive of us and our business. In return, we’re supporting their very thorough planning application and development which will add further vibrancy to the Baltic neighbourhood with new homes and leisure facilities” – Rebecca Pope (Managing Director)
A grassroots venue, supporting grassroots events – Constellations has provided fertile ground for now critically-acclaimed events such as Positive Vibration: Festival of Reggae, Liverpool LightNight and Baltic Weekender. These events have drawn thousands of people into the city, all in the celebration of Merseyside’s rich arts, culture and music scene.
“As the Baltic Triangle has developed over the past decade, Constellations is proud to have played a part in making the area one of the most popular cultural, residential and business destinations in the UK. As a venue, we appreciate our role as a catalyst for change in the local area, and welcome the next phase in the Baltic Triangle’s growing story. The next adventure, Hinterlands, is a continuation of the Constellations ethos and a major contributor to the ever-growing popularity of the Cains Brewery site.” – Nicholas Baskerville (Commercial and Marketing Director)
Creating new opportunities from within, the team behind Constellations and Hinterlands will continue to develop into new sites, helping to promote the city’s cultural offering and place Liverpool on the map as an international destination for the events industry.
The team are now working hard to enhance the functionality of the Hinterlands site, crowdfunding for £60,000 to equip the venue with complete acoustic treatment, universal heating, air conditioning and cosmetic upgrades.
The crowdfunding campaign will allow Hinterlands to proliferate into one of Liverpool’s most dynamic, versatile and vibrant event spaces. The venue will offer flexibility at its core, malleable enough to host a range of events, from festivals to weddings and conferences to gala dinners.
Backers of the crowdfunder can pledge money in return for a range of rewards including; tickets to their next Oktoberfest event, a Baltic Triangle photobook, an End Of Year Party like no other, limited edition screen prints, handmade disco-ball planters and the opportunity for you and a friend to attend an unlimited amount of events across some of the city’s best grassroots venues via a ‘Golden Ticket’.
