This news has officially made our day, one of the best movies of all time is about to be brought to life right here in Liverpool in a permanent venue.
Following weeks of public voting on the new and upcoming venue of the world-renowned Coyote Ugly Saloon, the great British public has finally decided where the next location is going to be. The results are in. There’s no need to Fight the Moonlight anymore as we can officially reveal the next venue will be in Liverpool.
Made famous by the eponymous 2000 film, starring Tyra Banks and John Goodman, the new Liverpool venue will be known for female bar tenders (Coyotes) dancing on the bar, American style BBQ food and a wild atmosphere. The hit movie was based on the original bar located in New York City.
One year after opening the first British branch of the famous bar in Cardiff (December 2016) and the massive acceptance and success of the bar, it’s now time for UK expansion and the chosen sit is Liverpool scheduled to open in December of this year.
Finding the right franchise partner is key for the success of Coyote Ugly Global Expansion” says Vice President of Global Development Justin Livingston. The brand found that in Steve Lewis, Coyote Ugly Franchisee, and Director of Coyote Ugly Saloon in Cardiff. Lewis has now acquired the UK rights to the brand for expansion of 12 units throughout the UK and Ireland. “Customers have been travelling to us from all over the UK, Ireland and from throughout Europe. Many patrons have been disappointed on not being able to book tables or booths as many key dates sell out weeks or months in advance. The perfect answer to this problem is to expand and open other venues throughout the UK.” Says Lewis.
All those who voted for a Liverpool venue in the recent contest will receive a VIP invite to the opening party once dates are announced.
“It’s thrilling to be opening these international bars. It gives us a chance to learn what makes these amazing cultures special as well as bring the Coyote Ugly Culture to the markets!.” says Owner and Founder Liliana Lovell. “It’s amazing to see how far we’ve come from a small (but awesome), single bar in New York City.”
