Cult Spin Studio Celebrates its 1st Birthday
7 years ago
Nearly 5,000 riders now flock to the Allerton studio each month thanks to its fun approach to fitness.
Liverpool’s go-to spin and hiit studio is set to mark 12 months of success with a colourful birthday bash. Rise Cycling Studio, on Smithdown Road has become a cult favourite amongst celebrities, footballers and the city region’s influencers since it opened its doors in May 2017.
Its meteoric rise to fame has come thanks to its creative and innovative approach to fitness classes which have included Cream Classics, Thank F*ck It’s Friday’s, Britney Vs. Madonna and Hip Hop Sunday’s. It’s motto to ‘Ride, Rise, Workout, Party’ has meant there are nearly 800 ‘riders’ per week coming through the doors, taking part in over 25 classes at the South Liverpool studio.
With collaborative events with the likes of Topshop and Lululemon, their famous #SweatySelfie’s by their loyal Instagram following and their in-house eatery ‘The 100 Club’ serving up health conscious food, Rise has become famous across the UK for it’s fresh approach to fitness.
Founded by Chilton ‘Chilly’ Jenkins and Antony McLoughlin, the friends-cum-business partners have invited their regulars and newcomers to come and celebrate the milestone from 9am-2pm on Saturday, May 12. Chilly, who also owns Happiness Hot Yoga in Allerton, said: “The past year has been insane – we’ve sold out of classes, grown a really loyal following and witnessed the thirst for a boutique studio like Rise in the North of England.”
Inspired by their work across the globe, the pair wanted to give Rise Cycling Studio it’s very own unique and fun twist, specifically honed for the Liverpool market.
“We love our home city and no matter where we have travelled, it just felt right starting Rise here,” said Chilly.
“Liverpool is famous across the world for music and for a great party and that’s what we’ve tried to capture here at Rise. We’ve worked really hard to keep things niche and agile – it’s been part of our success, seeing music trend for example, and going with it. So at our birthday it was only fitting to put on some of our most popular classes and pay homage to our city.”
As part of the event on Saturday (May 12), The Gym Bird will be bringing back her ‘It’s Britney Bitch’ Bootcamp, the PowerSoul sisters will be hosting their infamous live DJ ride and Amp Radio will be broadcasting live from the studio. Cream Classic Ride returns and after a hard workout and taking a famous ‘#SweatySelfie’ partygoers can enjoy food pop-ups from Phit Foods, Studio Raw and Rises’ in-house cafe, The 100 Club.
Liverpool’s favourite party decorator, Beckoration will be providing the balloons and Studio Raw will be serving up the raw vegan birthday cake.
Co-owner Antony added: “This is just the start of the Rise journey and we want to thank everyone who has been on the ride with us so far. We’re looking forward some very exciting expansion announcements in the next 12 months.”]
