Delifonseca is set to play cupid this Valentine’s Day with a duo of amorous dining celebrations.
On Tuesday 14, the Brunswick Way restaurant will serve up a three-course meal served with a side of romance, as well as an arrival cocktail and sharing dessert, which they say is ‘perfect for anyone wanting to share the love of good food’.
Proprietor Candice Fonseca said:
“Year on year, we like to create unique Valentine’s offerings for all of our guests and this year is no exception. It wasn’t just couples that we had in mind when we started planning all of these – it was about coming up with something for everyone; whether you are single, in a relationship or you are just in the mood for a great night, in great company, surrounded by delicious food and drink.”
To start, diners will be treated to a sharing platter rich with meats, fish and cheese before enjoying mains including curried cod fillet with black dahl and cucumber chat and Edge & Son rare breed 12oz T-Bone steak served with chunky chips, portobello mushrooms, cherry tomatoes and peppercorn sauce.
To make the night as indulgent as possible, the award-winning team will be serving up a sharing dessert of baked Alaska with rhubarb sorbet, poached rhubarb and white chocolate.
Candice added: “Some might want to come and dine with us in the restaurant, where as others may want to shop in the deli and cook for their loved one in the comfort and intimacy of their own home.
“For those who do prefer to celebrate Valentine’s at home, we are once again offering our ever-popular ‘Dine at Home’ option, whereby guests can take away a chef prepared three-course Valentine’s feast.”
The menu offers a starter sharing platter, four options for mains including salmon fillet with braised fennel, baby leeks and cream sauce and slow braised beef brisket in a chocolate stout, beer braised onions, and a dessert sharing platter finished with red velvet cake and pistachio, passionfruit tart with honeycomb and fresh fruit, and white chocolate blondies.
Candice added: “We do love a good February 14th here at Dockside and it seems to one of those dates in the diary that everyone likes our help with.
“For those stuck for gifts, our deli and foodhall is packed with Valentine’s foodie goodies from heart-shaped chocolates from Niederegger Lübeck and perfectly sweet biscuits from Original Biscuit Bakers.
We’ve also created some Valentine’s themed hampers that we can deliver locally on the day or ship nationally – sometimes it’s the little things that count.”
The sitting-in menu is priced at £50pp and the ‘Dine at Home’ menu is £55 per couple or £27.50 for solo dining, which is available to order through the online grocery shop and will be ready for pick up on Tuesday February 14.
